Advantages of Our School

Small Classes:  Because our classes do not exceed 12 students, each student receives more individual time with instructors, as well as fellow classmates.

 

Six Month Course:  In the short time period of six months you can become a professional health care provider and be well on your way to a very fulfilling career.

 

Convenient Hours:  Morning and evening classes are available and run concurrent when possible.  We run the schedule this way to better fit the needs of students with changing work or home schedules. Students who miss their normal day class can just catch the night class, etc.

 

Practice, Practice, Practice: You will be extremely competent even as a new therapist because we focus on bodywork and expose you to several different modalities. You will get the opportunity for more hands on experience here than any other school that we know of.

 

Job Placement:  Although many students know where they are going to practice before they attend school, we keep job openings posted in the school and make recommendations on behalf of the student.

 

Free Review Privileges:  As a graduate of our school you are entitled to sit in on as many program classes as you want, either for review or to learn a new technique at no charge.

 

Instructors:  We believe in hiring each instructor for their individual qualifications in a particular subject.  You will not find our course taught by one or two people, but rather many different individuals bringing to the program their education, experience, and unique ideas.  We require that our instructors maintain successful practices outside teaching, so that they are capable of teaching superior technique as well as successful business practices.

 

Professional Student Clinic:  We encourage, and provide the facilities and resources for, our students to operate their own student clinic in order for them to get real world experience on how to be successful massage therapists and at the same time provide a very affordable way for people in our community to experience the benefits of massage. From running the appointment desk to assessing your client’s therapeutic needs (as well as different body types, ages and personalities) you will learn the art and business of massage and be ready for whatever your career goals may be.

Graduates may sit in on classes for review at any time at no additional charge.

You have the opportunity to establish clientele through student clinic. Student clinic clients are always encouraged by the school to continue their care with their student practitioner after licensing.
 
All our graduates have access to NWSM for any questions, including questions regarding their practice or job opportunities.
 
We encourage our graduates to keep in contact with the school so that we may provide as much help as we can to ensure you are able to keep the quality of practice you want.  Also, every session we introduce some new techniques so our graduates are encouraged to “sit-in” and learn some new modalities!
